Coastal Contemporary Garden
The garden surrounds a newly built home situated on an elevated site overlooking Polzeath, the surf and the beautuful sandy beach. The contemporary style of the house is carried through into the garden with whitewashed terraced walls, natural stone paving and oak fencing - all softened by a modern planting scheme of pinks, blues and white.
The choice of plants have been selected to cope with the exposed location and coastal conditions - Euonymus, Eleagnus, Hydrangeas, Hebes, Agapanthus, Erigeron, Cistus, Astelias and Lavender are but a few.
The terraced walls form large raised borders around the back of the house
Lavender, Verbena and Nepeta gently tie the planting scheme together.
The woven oak fencing provides shelter and privacy along the side of the house.
Cistus, Phormium, Osteospermum, Nepeta and Erigeron fill the sheltered borders at the back of the house.
