Seafront Garden, St. Mawes

This beautiful seafront property in St. Mawes has recently undergone an extensive refurbishment to the house and garden to provide comfortable and stylish family living.

The garden had become partially overgrown, restricting the wonderful sea views - selective removal and pruning to some of the trees and shrubs has opened up the garden to its beautiful coastal outlook, and provided new areas for replanting.

Tree ferns and mature palms offer exotic structure to the garden whilst an understory of coastal tolerant shrubs and perennials have been introduced to bring colour through the seasons.  Agapanthus, hydrangeas, hebes, cistus, euonymus, osteospermum and asters to name a few.

The old garden pond has been transformed into an attractive swimming pool and new composite decking has been installed, linking the house to all areas of the garden.

A custom-made outdoor kitchen unit protects the appliances from the elements allowing for handy and relaxed 'al fresco' dining and barbecues.

Low coastal tolerant planting around the swimming pool provides a foreground to the sea view beyond.

The decked terrace overlooks the lawn and sea.

Low raised borders divide the swimming pool area from the entertaining space

A bespoke trough planter provides shelter and protection to the decked terrace

Tree ferns offer exotic structure to the rear of the garden

Olive trees, palms, clipped box and lavender brings a touch of Mediterranean ambience to St. Mawes.
